About NG-CDF Board
Established under the National Government Constituencies Development Fund Act, 2015 to oversee equitable socio-economic development and poverty alleviation across all 290 constituencies in Kenya.
Institutional Profile
The National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) is a state fund established under the NG-CDF Act 2015 (repealing the CDF Act 2013 and 2003). It is dedicated to addressing regional socio-economic imbalances, promoting equitable national development, and alleviating poverty through targeted infrastructure delivery and educational support at the grassroots constituency level.
Unlike decentralized county revenue shares, NG-CDF specifically implements national government constitutional functions, with primary focus on basic and secondary education infrastructure, bursaries and scholarships, national government security infrastructure, digital ICT innovation hubs, and climate action and environmental conservation.
