The Principal Secretary, State Department for Economic Planning, Dr. Bonface B. Makokha, led a high-level government delegation to inspect newly constructed multi-storey classroom complexes in Budalangi Constituency.
Historically vulnerable to backflow flooding from Lake Victoria and River Nzoia, Budalangi schools have benefited from innovative multi-level architectural designs funded through NG-CDF. The newly commissioned blocks at Makunda and Musoma primary schools elevate learning spaces above high-water levels, guaranteeing uninterrupted education throughout the rainy seasons.
'The NG-CDF model demonstrates how targeted infrastructure investments directly protect children's right to education while building long-term community climate resilience,' remarked Dr. Makokha during the commissioning ceremony.
