Direct public engagement sessions empower citizens with real-time project tracking data, bursary application guidelines, and social accountability tools.
Members of the public attending the Mombasa International Show held fruitful direct interactions with senior technical officers from the NG-CDF Board. The interactive sessions covered:
1. How community barazas identify and prioritize projects under Section 27 of the NG-CDF Act.
2. The vetting and score-sheet procedures governing the Ksh 15 Billion annual Education Bursary scheme.
3. Public access to project status reports, Bills of Quantities (BoQs), and contractor records via the Projects Monitoring System (PMTS).
4. Grievance redress mechanisms, including whistleblowing channels operated in liaison with the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
The Board reaffirmed its commitment to radical transparency, encouraging continuous public vigilance over grassroots public funds.
