Legislature amends statutory ceilings allowing constituencies to dedicate up to 8% of infrastructure envelopes to ICT and youth innovation.
Members of Parliament have overwhelmingly passed a statutory amendment to the NG-CDF Act allowing each constituency to build and equip state-of-the-art constituency digital hubs in collaboration with the Ministry of ICT.
Westlands MP Hon. Tim Wanyonyi commended the reform, highlighting that over 1,200 youth in Kangemi and Mountain View wards are already earning sustainable livelihoods through remote freelancing and digital data labeling programs hosted at the newly launched hub.
