National Treasury and Board release critical first-tranche funds to safeguard secondary school retention and sustain ongoing civil works.
The National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) Board has confirmed the release of KES 14.5 Billion to all 290 constituencies across the 47 counties for the first school term.
Speaking during a media briefing at Harambee Plaza, the Board Chief Executive Officer stated that 40% of the disbursed funds will directly support education bursary schemes, ensuring that children from vulnerable households remain in school without interruption.
The remaining 60% is earmarked for the completion of stalled laboratory complexes, digital innovation hubs, and junior secondary school classrooms.
